Coniston quarry works - some work still continues at the lower level........

 

........but not at the upper levels.

 

Boulder Valley (to be bypassed on the descent) - the dip on the skyline is Swirl Hawse, Black Sails and Wetherlam to it's right.

 

Raven Tor over the old Saddlestone Quarry ruins.

Looking back down to Low Water and across to The Old Man from the short grassy ascent to Raven Tor.

 

Great How Crags from Raven Tor - Levers  Water bottom right.

 

The route from Raven Tor to the summit of Brim Fell weaves between the various minor rocky outcrops.

 

The tops of the Scafell group over Grey Friar, and Crinkle Crags and Bow Fell over Levers Hause.
